Welcome to the S.S. Moyie's home on the web. The Moyie is the world's oldest intact passenger sternwheeler. Located against the stunning scenery of the town of Kaslo in the mountains of British Columbia, Canada, the Moyie awaits all who want to step back in time and experience life at the turn of the last century. The sights, sounds and smells have all been recreated aboard this grand vessel.

This site is quite easy to navigate. Use either the index on the side or below. Visitor Information contains business hours, boarding fees and other important points. There's the History section complete with photos. The newly added Specifications page provides you with all the technical data on the Moyie. Take a look at our Photographs section to see what our restoration crews have already accomplished. Ongoing Projects documents current restoration or construction activities. Upcoming Events tells you what is happening at the Moyie throughout the year. KLHS Archives connects to the Kootenay Lake Archives, a worthwhile place to visit while in Kaslo or if you are looking for historical information on the Moyie and the Kaslo area in general. We have also added a page of Visitor Comments. Our Links section contains sites related to the Moyie, as well as accommodations, local attractions and the Kaslo Chamber of Commerce. Have fun and learn about the area that could be your vacation destination this year. We have it all: spectacular scenery, hiking trails, beaches, campgrounds, golf courses, local events and festivals, boat rentals, Provincial Parks, eco- and adventure-tourism and, of course, the S.S.
